Lumion is searching for a passionate 3D artist, who creates and polishes 3D models for our software’s extensive content library. A 3D model optimization is not simply something you do with a poly cruncher. We are looking for someone who is strong in the optimization of (extreme) high poly 3D models and making them ready for real time 3D use without losing detail. A talented individual who is inspired to achieve only the highest of quality in their work and who wants to contribute to one of the most popular and premium features of the industry’s most widely used architectural visualization software.

Our product - Lumion:

Not so long ago, many architects could only dream about presenting self-made, realistic 3D images and videos of their designs to their clients. Relying on a background in software development and the game industry, the founders of Lumion picked up on this challenge. Since its launch in 2010, Lumion has been changing the way architects work by helping them communicate their design ideas better and faster than ever before. Because of this, Lumion has been embraced by architects and designers in over 150 countries.

Your role:

As part of the team, you will:

  • Provide feedback and direction at all stages of asset production to ensure artistic and technical quality.

  • Take ownership of Lumion’s extensive content library to ensure that all models are the best possible quality.

  • Integrate approved assets into Lumion.

  • Create, fix and polish outsourced models to target specifications.

  • Work with the Content Manager to determine art specifications and guidelines for new content as well as be involved in the market research.

Who you are:

We’re looking for someone who is creative by nature, autonomous, productive and has a proven track record in the field.

  • You can adapt, listen well and be a patient, constructive team player.

  • You are passionate about achieving a realistic representation of 3D models in a 3D engine. Think of a car with 1.5m polygons and bringing that back to 75k without losing much detail.

  • You are eager and willing to help us push the boundaries to solidify Lumion as the premier visualization tool for our clients.

  • Strong understanding of 3D model optimization for real time rendering.

What you'll need:

  • To works and live in The Netherlands.

  • 3+ years’ experience as a professional 3D artist.

  • Experience with, but not restricted to using software such as 3DS Max, Houdini, Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, etc.

  • A strong portfolio of realistic, high quality 3D models.

  • Self-driven with strong communication skills and are comfortable working in an environment of honest feedback and iteration.

  • To enjoy working in an environment with a lot of quirky but fun people.
